# Silicon Prawn photographs of GF180MCU shuttle dies (copy)

Photographs of GF180MCU shuttle dies and their packaging from [Silicon Prawn](https://siliconprawn.org/), whose
content is licensed under [Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/)
(CC BY 4.0). This is an unmodified copy (plus the previews described below), made on 2026-10-17 so that the
[wafer.space](https://wafer.space/) run reports can show them: siliconprawn.org cannot be fetched by scripts.

It holds every GF180MCU item on Silicon Prawn as of 2026-10-17: everything found by the wiki searches for
`gf180`, `gf180mcu` and `globalfoundries`, the wiki's `vendor:efabless` page, and the photo directories
`map/efabless/` and `map/efabless.backup/`. (Silicon Prawn's Tiny Tapeout photographs are all SKY130 shuttles.)

The die name is Silicon Prawn's `gf180mcu-<shuttle>-<project ID>`; the last four characters of the project ID
are the project code used in the wafer.space repositories
[google-gf180mcu-mpw0](https://github.com/wafer-space/google-gf180mcu-mpw0) and
[google-gf180mcu-mpw18h1](https://github.com/wafer-space/google-gf180mcu-mpw18h1). GFMPW-1 has no
wafer.space repository (its shuttle repositories are empty), and Silicon Prawn does not say which project
`die1` is.

## Layout

The top level follows the layout of the InfoSecDJ photographs at
[data.wafer.space/infosecdj.net/release-1](https://data.wafer.space/infosecdj.net/release-1/): one photograph
per die, `efabless_<die>_<setup>.jpg`, and a preview `efabless_<die>_<setup>_th.jpg`.

- `efabless_<die>_<setup>.jpg`: Silicon Prawn's `map/efabless/<die>/single/` image, byte for byte. One image
is chosen per die: the top-metal bright-field image for the McMaster dies, `iris10x` for GFMPW-1.
- `efabless_<die>_<setup>_th.jpg`: made here, not by Silicon Prawn: the image above resized to 2048 pixels on
its long side (Pillow, Lanczos, JPEG quality 92), the size of the InfoSecDJ previews. Silicon Prawn's own
`.thumb.jpg` files are only about 300 pixels.
- `originals/<die>/single/`: every file in Silicon Prawn's `map/efabless/<die>/single/` for these dies, byte for
byte, including the other imaging setups (`*_df1`, `*_df2`, the 5× image of 18100004, `iris10x_r`) and
  Silicon Prawn's thumbnails.
- `package/<die>/`: the package photographs on the wiki pages (`lib/exe/fetch.php?media=…`), byte for byte:
the Gel-Pak boxes of 18100001 (label: customer GOOGLE LLC (MPW18H1), device PGSTDCELLS, wafer 5, lot
  3CXY14296.1, quantity 20) and of 18100004.

Photographs are as taken: three of the chosen images (180045d6, 18100004, mpw1-die1) are landscape, the die
turned 90°.

`SHA256SUMS` lists every file.

## Not copied

- `map/efabless.backup/gfmpw0-slot04`, `gfmpw0-slot30`, `gf-mpw18h1-slot4-openfasoc` and `gf180-mpw1` hold the
same images under the dies' earlier names; every file is byte-identical to one in `originals/` (checked by
  SHA-256).
- Six package photographs that the die pages embed are missing on Silicon Prawn itself (HTTP 404 under both
the old and the current page names): `pack_top.jpg` and `pack_btm.jpg` of 180045d6 and 1800f4d8 (as
  `gfmpw0-slot30` / `gfmpw0-slot04`), and `pack_btm.jpg` of 18100004 (as `gf-mpw18h1-slot4-openfasoc`).
